Juvenile criminal defense in state and federal court is a specialized practice.  The rules are very different from adult court, but an adjudication (similar but different from a “conviction”) in juvenile court can still carry severe penalties including publically registering on the public sex and kidnap offender registries.  It is also possible for juveniles to be prosecuted as an adult for some crimes which is one of the most important levels of defense for a juvenile defendant.  A juvenile defendant needs a defense attorney who has experience in juvenile court.  Our firm has represented many juveniles and has experience defending adult certification hearings.
